We are looking for an experienced Mobile Multi-skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias to work with a range of Mitie clients. The role involves conducting work that provides a multi-skilled maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines, and delivering reactive and proactive maintenance as per project requirements to all operational equipment.
1. You will be responsible for carrying out modifications and installations when required, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant to optimize reliability and maintainability. You will ensure all key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers as needed. Completing paperwork, producing reports accurately and on time are also part of your duties.
2. You should perform work to high standards, in line with current company policies and procedures. You must report any deficiencies in systems or equipment that could result in service failure, health and safety risks, or environmental issues. Ensuring your work and that of supervised personnel is completed safely and diligently is essential.
3. The ideal candidate will have up-to-date training such as NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline), 18th Edition BS, and good knowledge of building statutory compliance.
4. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
5. You should be able to read and understand technical drawings, possess good problem-solving and decision-making skills, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
6. Suitable training will be provided if needed to ensure competency in required skills.
