Our client is seeking diligent and energetic Parcel Sorters to ensure parcels move swiftly and accurately through their logistics network.

What You’ll Do:
1. Parcel Sorting: Meticulously sort parcels by size, destination, and urgency. Even that mysterious package heading to Cornwall will need your expert sorting skills. Your precision will be vital in ensuring parcels find their way to the right destination efficiently.
2. Loading and Unloading: Contribute to the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles. Some parcels may require heavy lifting, so think of this as a workout that pays. Your careful handling and strategic placement will optimize space and secure parcels for safe transit.
3. Warehouse Organisation: Maintain a tidy and organized workspace. Ensuring everything is in its rightful place helps eliminate confusion and enhance productivity. Your efforts will prevent any mix-ups or missing items in this fast-paced environment.
4. Quality Checks: Conduct thorough quality checks on parcels. If a package rattles when it shouldn’t, your keen senses will catch it. Your vigilance guarantees that only parcels meeting quality standards are dispatched.
5. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all health and safety procedures. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, and ensure that you and your colleagues finish each shift safely. Report any hazards or near-misses immediately to uphold a safe working environment.
What We’re After:
6. Experience Preferred: While previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience is an advantage, we are ready to train enthusiastic newcomers. A Royal Mail background is beneficial, providing a solid foundation for the role.
