Heat Treatment Operative – Job Description We are currently recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing client for a Heat Treatment Operative to join their production team. This vital role ensures materials are processed accurately to achieve the required mechanical properties and maintain the highest quality standards. Role Overview As a Heat Treatment Operative, you will operate heat treatment furnaces and associated equipment, ensuring components are treated precisely to specification within a safe and controlled production environment. Your work will be key to maintaining product integrity and meeting production targets. Key Responsibilities Operate heat treatment furnaces and related equipment efficiently Safely and correctly load and unload components Set and monitor heat treatment cycles according to specifications Ensure materials meet required hardness and quality standards Conduct basic quality checks and record results accurately Handle components carefully throughout production processes Maintain cleanliness of equipment and promptly report faults or issues Adhere strictly to health & safety and quality procedures at all times Work diligently to meet production targets and deadlines Skills & Experience Previous manufacturing experience preferred; heat treatment experience is advantageous Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow precise processes Strong commitment to quality and safety standards Reliable, flexible, and adaptable approach to work Capable of working independently as well as part of a team Hours & Shifts Monday to Thursday Day, afternoon, or rotating shifts depending on site requirements Typical shift times: 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00 Some sites may include night shifts where applicable Pay Rate £14 - £16 p/h Additional Information Comprehensive training provided where required Long-term and temporary-to-permanent opportunities available Ongoing support provided by the recruitment agency throughout your assignment
