FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Tech Lead Engineer to work for our client within the professional services sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Radbroke, Manchester or Glasgow.
Our client is seeking a talented Tech Lead Engineer who has at least 10 years of experience to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to lead and mature high-performing feature teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be embedded within our client’s engineering organisation, conducting a maturity assessment of existing feature teams, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing a comprehensive engineering playbook that outlines standards, principles, tooling, and ways of working.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and coach cross-functional feature teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
2. Conduct engineering maturity assessments and provide actionable recommendations
3. Develop and implement a playbook to standardise engineering practices and tooling
4. Drive continuous improvement and embed best practices across teams
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical delivery with business goals
6. Support the upskilling and coaching of engineering teams to enhance capability
