Location - Birmingham or Leeds Hours - Part time role split across 2/3 days. Must include Monday and Tuesday. THE ROLE We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Part-Time IT Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective IT training sessions to learners, ensuring they acquire essential skills to perform their roles effectively. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and education. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Deliver IT training on core IT applications for all new joiners. • Ongoing review of training content with relevant subject matter experts to ensure current. • Creation of training materials and online content. • Provide ad-hoc training when required. • Review Service Desk statistics to target training appropriately. • Work with the project team to create and delivery projects into Business as usual. • Provide hands-on support and guidance during training sessions, adapting teaching methods to suit learners' needs. • Assess learners’ progress by actively seeking feedback following all sessions. • Stay up to date with the latest IT developments, software, and best practices to ensure training content remains current. • Collaborate with other staff to coordinate schedules and share resources. • Support learners with troubleshooting and problem-solving during and after sessions. • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. • Provide ad-hoc training as required. • Supporting colleagues and the department as required. • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Service Delivery Manager SKILL SET The IT Trainer has a responsibility to ensure their skill set is up to date and they are familiar with the firm’s internal systems and procedures. Candidates should ideally have: • Excellent organizational and administration skills. • Excellent attention to detail. • Strong knowledge of Legal applications, ideally Visualfiles and Aderant. • Strong knowledge of common IT software (e.g. Windows 11, Microsoft 365) • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate that they are: • Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision • Professional and self-motivated. • Proactive in their approach. • Able to work in a busy, professional environment. • Ability to work within a team.
