Be part of an open, collaborative Architecture practice that values innovation and continuous learning.
If you’re passionate about designing solutions that deliver real value and being part of a team driving change in a dynamic, customer-focused environment, this is the role for you.
What you’ll be doing
* You’ll be embedded within Agile Release Trains (ARTs), working from inception through to delivery of features and enablers.
* You’ll have end-to-end ownership of architecture and design, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to our strategic vision.
* Designing and delivering AWS cloud-hosted solutions, leveraging modern architecture patterns and tools. End-to-end solutions that are secure, scalable, and strategically aligned, with a strong focus on AWS cloud-hosted architectures and data platforms.
* Driving innovation and continuous improvement, leveraging emerging technologies and modern design approaches to solve complex business challenges.
* Working closely with senior leadership and wider organisation, influencing future ways of working, whilst aligning solutions with business goals and technology strategy.
We offer excellent development opportunities, from exposure to enterprise-level architecture to progression pathways within a growing organisation.
What we need you to have
* Broad experience in solution design and architecture governance, applied across multiple channels and product lines.
* Strong background in digital, security, data, and application architectures, including designing and integrating data lakes and data pipelines for data hydration and consumption in AWS.
* Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, preferably AWS, including modern data lake technologies and data integration patterns for ingestion, hydration, and consumption.
* Experience in architecture and design roles within financial services or other regulated industries, ideally in Agile at Scale environments.
* Proven leadership and coaching ability, championing collaborative and iterative design within Agile Release Trains and guiding multiple feature teams.
And if you have any of these, even better
* Proven ability to innovate, using technology in new and exciting ways to deliver business value.
* Deep understanding of non-functional requirements, including operational resilience, security, and performance, alongside knowledge of design governance processes and patterns.
* A passion for solving complex business challenges, creating best-of-breed technology solutions that align with strategic goals, standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging confidently with senior leaders and collaborating across architecture, engineering, and business teams.
* Financial Services or regulated industry experience.
What’s in it for you
* Prepare for your retirement with our colleague pension scheme.
* Private Medical Insurance (WL2+) and virtual GP Service 365 days a year.
* Performance related annual bonus.
* Generous holiday allowance with a minimum of 7.2 weeks, with the opportunity to buy more.
* Colleague Clubcard benefits, including discounts and a secondary card to share with someone else.
* Family-oriented initiatives, including enhanced maternity leave pay, shared parental leave, and paid paternity leave.
* Ongoing learning opportunities and training to help you achieve your job and career goals.
