Yars Day Centre is looking to recruit highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Disability Youth Workers to join our high paced, person centred Disability Day Centre.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate and dedicated to making a positive change to the lives of disabled young adults, promoting independence, social inclusion, and equality.
Qualifications and skills:
The ideal candidates should have a minimum Level 3 Youth Work qualification or an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and a minimum of 2 years' experience working with disabled adults/children.
You should be an excellent communicator, extremely caring, compassionate, enthusiastic and have experience working with a range of disabilities. Additionally, we require creative, supportive, empathetic individuals who are pivotal in creating and supporting tailored activities for young people.
As a Disability Youth Worker, you will have a key role in caring for our young adults, working as part of a team to assist our young adults in a need's led and personal centred environment, facilitating and supporting with physical, social and therapeutic activities.
Experience within the disability sector is essential.
You will be required to work centre-based and within the community .

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday
Our package includes:
· A competitive hourly rate of £14.50 per hour.
· 28 days annual leave, including all bank holidays.
