About the Role
Christ Church Warminster is looking for a passionate and proactive Youth Worker to join us in reaching young people in our town with the good news of Jesus Christ.
This isn’t your average church-based youth role. We're looking for someone who will get out of the building, go where young people are, and build lasting connections. You’ll be pioneering work in schools, on the streets, and through partnerships with other churches and local organisations.
This role is all about helping young people discover Jesus, supporting them in their journey of faith, and building a community where they can belong, grow, and flourish.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with young people beyond the church walls, especially those with little or no church background.
* Build strong partnerships with local schools, organisations, and other churches to create opportunities for youth engagement.
* Support and develop Christ Church’s existing youth activities, helping young people grow in their faith and find their place in the life of the church.
* Identify and train volunteers, building up a sustainable team for youth work in the long term.
* Be a visible Christian presence in the community, modelling a life of discipleship and prayer.
* Explore fresh and creative ways to connect with youth culture and share the gospel in relevant and compelling ways.
What We’re Looking For
* A committed Christian with a living faith in Jesus Christ.
* Experience in youth work (voluntary or paid); a relevant qualification is desirable.
* A heart for mission and a natural ability to connect with young people from all walks of life.
* Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A strong communicator who can build relationships with schools, churches, and community leaders.
* A person of integrity who lives out their faith with humility, compassion, and courage.
Additional Information
* The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
* All applicants must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* The role will be subject to a six-month probationary period, with a review before confirmation in post.
We Offer
* A supportive church community that’s passionate about reaching Warminster with the love of Christ.
* a 5 year fixed term contract.
* The chance to shape something new from the ground up.
* Opportunities for training, supervision, and spiritual support.
* A beautiful town to work in, with strong links to both countryside and community.
