Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children, young people and families? We’re working with Cheshire East Council to recruit dedicated Family Service Workers to join their early help and prevention services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team delivering impactful, evidence-based support to families when they need it most.
The Role As a Family Service Worker, you will work in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals to deliver targeted interventions that promote positive outcomes and long-term change.
You’ll play a key role in supporting families across the 0–19 age range, ensuring they receive the right help at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a range of evidence-based programmes to support children and families
Undertake holistic assessments and develop tailored support plans
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners across Children’s Services
Provide both 1:1 and group-based interventions
Support early identification of need and help prevent escalation
Maintain accurate, timely records and contribute to performance data
Engage with families to ensure their voices shape service delivery
Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriatelyAbout You We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient and committed to achieving the best outcomes for families.
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent)
GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
Experience working with children, young people and families
Knowledge of safeguarding and child development
Strong communication, assessment and organisational skills
Ability to manage a varied workload and work as part of a teamDesirable:
Experience delivering structured interventions and group work
Experience completing CAF assessments
Background in youth work, social care or community servicesWhat You’ll Need
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required
