Job Title: Laundry Assistant (Part Time)
Location: The Goldbridge Care Home, 3 Kleinwort Close, Haywards Heath, RH16 4XH
Salary range: £12.00 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 17 hours per week - flexible with shifts and extra hours may be available to cover annual leave when needed.

You’ll help us make health happen by:
1. Managing the laundry effectively including washing, drying and ironing residents clothing, bedding and communal laundry
2. Ensuring the laundry room is kept clean at all times and that there’s a regular supply of detergent and fabric conditioner
3. De-fluffing the tumble dryers daily
4. Managing the collection and distribution of all laundry items to and from residents’ rooms
5. Reporting all safety hazards to management, ensuring Health and Safety standards and COSSH are adhered to at all times
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Friendly and approachable, you’ll build long lasting professional relationships with your colleagues, residents and their families. You understand the importance of working to high standards, maintaining a safe environment and keeping accurate records. You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in your work. Knowledge of industrial washing machines and laundry presses along with previous experience would be advantageous. With strong communication skills, you’re able to teamwork across functions and services.
Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
