This distinctive, design-led course blends creative experience design with robust project and event management practice, preparing students to become confident, industry-ready event professionals.</p><h3>The Role</h3><p>We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Events Management to join our academic team. You will contribute to high-quality, practice-based teaching, supporting students to develop creative, technical, and professional skills required to design, manage, and deliver impactful events.</p><p>This role offers the opportunity to teach across core areas of events management, contribute to curriculum development, and support student progression within a dynamic, industry-aligned programme focused on real-world application and creative practice.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate modules in events management</li><li>Design and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions using blended and experiential teaching approaches</li><li>Teach key subject areas including:
<ul><li>Creative project management and live event delivery</li><li>Experience design and audience engagement</li><li>Event marketing, programming, and communications</li><li>Financial, operational, and risk management</li><li>Client, stakeholder, and supplier management</li><li>Entrepreneurship and creative business development</li></ul></li><li>Develop and maintain up-to-date teaching materials on the Virtual Learning Environment, informed by industry practice</li><li>Facilitate active learning through live projects, case studies, and real-world event delivery</li><li>Design, set, assess, and moderate coursework in line with programme and awarding body requirements</li><li>Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student development and achievement</li><li>Support student engagement, attendance, progression, and overall academic success</li><li>Act as a personal tutor, guiding students through academic and professional development</li><li>Participate in internal moderation, standardisation, and external examiner processes</li><li>Contribute to curriculum development, programme review, and quality assurance activities</li><li>Embed inclusivity, social impact, and ethical practice within teaching and assessment</li><li>Integrate digital tools, data-informed approaches, and emerging technologies (including AI) into teaching practice</li><li>Engage with industry partners to support live briefs, projects, and collaborative initiatives</li><li>Participate in academic committees, assessment boards, and team meetings</li><li>Engage in ongoing professional and scholarly development</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li>Postgraduate qualification (Master’s minimum) in Events Management or a related discipline</li><li>First degree in Events Management or a closely related subject</li><li>Experience teaching in higher education or further education</li><li>Experience designing, assessing, and moderating academic assessments</li><li>Strong understanding of events management in practice, including project delivery and stakeholder engagement</li><li>Ability to deliver practice-based, experiential teaching using real-world contexts</li><li>Experience supporting student engagement and progression within diverse cohorts</li><li>Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge</li><li>Current or recent industry experience in events, festivals, or the creative industries</li><li>Experience supporting live projects or industry-based learning</li><li>Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one</li><li>Experience working with students with English as a second language</li><li>Experience working within awarding body partnerships or quality assurance frameworks</li><li>28 days annual leave</li><li>Company pension scheme</li><li>Clear academic career progression pathways</li><li>Collaborative and inclusive academic culture</li><li>Ongoing professional development and academic training</li><li>Employee discount schemes</li><li>Onsite canteen facilities</li></ul><h3>How to Apply</h3><p>If you are passionate about developing the next generation of event designers, producers, and creative professionals, we would love to hear from you.</p><p>Apply now and join UK Management College in shaping future events professionals through innovative, practice-led education.</p></div>
