We are recruiting highly motivated and experienced Operating Department Practitioners / Anaesthetic Nurses (ODP/AN) to join our high-performing theatre team. With a focus on Anaesthetics, this role offers the opportunity to work alongside some of the UK's leading consultants across diverse cases.
We seek qualified professionals with excellent anaesthetic skills who can lead a team of junior staff in liaison with Band 7 managers. Join our friendly and dynamic theatre team at Croydon Elective & Emergency Surgical Centres within Croydon University Hospital.
Croydon Elective Centre features nine operating theatres with specialties including:
* Orthopaedics
* Urology
* Gynaecology
* General Surgery
* Colo-rectal
* Upper and Lower GI
* Breast
* Maxillofacial
* ENT
* Paediatrics (ENT, Orthopaedics, and General)

Our Croydon Elective Centre has been nationally recognized for innovative practice and described as a ‘blueprint’ for theatre activity in the UK. Notably, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited our theatres in 2022, highlighting our excellence in elective and emergency surgical care.
As a senior ODP/Anaesthetic Practitioner, you will assist anaesthetists in providing safe care not only in theatres but also in areas such as:
* Interventional Radiology, X-ray, and Endoscopy suites
* Emergency Surgical Centre
* Emergency Department / Resuscitation
* Obstetrics Department
You should be competent, proactive, flexible, and detail-oriented to uphold our high standards of care.
