Healthcare Assistant - Inpatient Unit
We are seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to support people receiving inpatient mental health care, helping individuals on their journey towards recovery and independence.

About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to join a specialist inpatient mental health service supporting adults with a range of mental health and complex care needs. Working alongside experienced healthcare professionals, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a safe and therapeutic environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the delivery of individual care plans under the direction of qualified nursing staff
* Assisting individuals with personal care and daily living activities where required
* Observing and monitoring physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing
* Reporting and documenting any changes in a person's presentation or behaviour
* Providing therapeutic support and meaningful engagement activities
* Escorting patients on leave and supporting community-based activities where appropriate
* Assisting with de-escalation and positive behaviour support following training
* Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent care
* Maintaining ward cleanliness and adhering to infection prevention and control procedures
* Supporting stock management and general ward operations
* Providing a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for patients, visitors, relatives, and carers
