Day shifts: 8:00am – 8:00pm

At Kingfisher Court, days are active, rewarding, and centred around people. We’re looking for a dedicated Day Care Assistant who enjoys being part of daily life in a care home and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, person-centred care.
This is a full-time role offering structure, continuity, and the chance to build meaningful relationships with residents over longer shifts.
About Kingfisher Court
Kingfisher Court is a warm and well-established care home in Sutton-in-Ashfield, with a strong sense of community and a supportive team culture. Residents are supported to live with dignity, choice, and independence, and colleagues play a key role in making the home feel welcoming and safe.
The home is easy to access, with good road links and public transport routes from Sutton-in-Ashfield, Mansfield, and surrounding areas. Whether you travel by car or public transport, the commute is straightforward and reliable.
The role
As a Day Care Assistant, you’ll be involved in all aspects of residents’ daily routines, providing both practical support and genuine companionship. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering high-quality, dignified personal care
2. Supporting residents with meals, hydration, and mobility
3. Encouraging independence and respecting individual choices
4. Building strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families
5. Offering reassurance, conversation, and emotional support
6. Working closely with colleagues to ensure consistent, safe care
