About the role
Clients in Pressure Equipment and Pressure Equipment Assemblies sectors depend on LRQA to effectively audit their management systems and provide assurance of business-critical compliance and risk management, using EU Directives such as The Pressure Equipment Directive //EU.
As a Lead Auditor with LRQA you will – alone or in a team – verify management systems across EU Directives and UK Regulations covering a wide spectrum of standards, as well as broadening your professional horizons. You will act as an expert and examine and assess the implementation of management systems for our clients around the country.
As well as undertaking risk-focused audits and making certification decisions yourself, you’ll call on your accomplished people skills to guide and develop other auditors, to cultivate positive client relationships and to proactively share feedback that helps us to keep improving the service we deliver.
The role gives you the opportunity to obtain a healthy blend of travel and visiting client sites whilst retaining the flexibility to undertake remote audits when required.
It’s a very challenging and diverse role where you get to meet a lot of different people and encounter very interesting (technical) challenges!
Job requirements
1. It’s likely you’re degree qualified (or have equivalent experience).
2. Recent experience of third-party auditing of management systems, preferably with another certification body
3. ISO Lead auditor experience
4. Knowledge and experience of undertaking Management System Audits for EC Directives such as Pressure Equipment Directive //EU and Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive //EU.
5. Able to understand codes, standards, specifications and procedures
6. Welding knowledge desirable,
7. An understanding of how to manage client relationships.
8. Good communication and decision-making skills; you can deliver clear audit outcomes
9. Complete audit reports effectively and efficiently
10. Preparedness to travel when necessary
11. Flexible and proactive attitude
