Commercial Operations Assistant
Role Purpose
To support the Assistant Commercial Manager and wider Commercial team in administering commercial processes, maintaining accurate contract information, and assisting in day‑to‑day commercial billing for the DWP Security contract. This role provides commercial, financial, and administrative support to ensure effective delivery and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Financial Support
Assist with monitoring income recovery, ensuring information is recorded accurately to support financial performance.#
Support with gathering data for budgets, forecasts, WIP and monthly commercial reporting.
Contract Administration
Maintain a target for income recovery and offer assistance where business needs on generating purchase orders, variations and approvals.
Assist in ensuring compliance with contractual processes, governance requirements and reporting obligations.
Support the administration of subcontractor information including performance tracking and documentation.
Operational Support
Provide commercial support to operational teams, helping them understand key requirements and risks.
Assist in gathering data for risk and opportunity assessments.
Communication & Stakeholder Liaison
Maintain responsive communication with internal teams and escalate issues where necessary.
Assist commercial team members with document preparation, meeting minutes, and general administrative duties.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Basic understanding of FM or security‑related contracts is desirable.
Ability to work accurately with financial and written data.
Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
Experience with CAFM systems desirable.
Qualifications
GCSEs or equivalent required.
HNC/HND or progression toward a commercial qualification desirable
