A new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant Manager, or experienced Accounts Senior, to join this successful and highly regarded CA practice in Glasgow. Working closely with Management, this would suit a qualified CA/ACCA with 1-2+ years post-qualified experience gained in Accountancy practice.
This is a varied role that offers genuine progression opportunity within a reputable firm that has a history of impressive employee retention and development. Key responsibilities include:
1. Working with interesting and diverse portfolio of clients, managing a small portfolio of your own and acting as client liaison for queries and advice
2. Reviewing accounts as prepared by junior members of the team, with additional responsibility to prepare accounts for some of the firm’s more complex clients
3. Supervising a team of accounts trainees and seniors, providing guidance and mentorship to those working towards professional qualification
4. Support the firm’s digitalisation strategy, playing a key role in driving cloud accounting processes
5. Involvement with business development opportunities and ad hoc project work
6. Providing support to Partners, as required
You will be CA/ACCA qualified with demonstrable experience gained within an accountancy practice, preferably at review level. You will enjoy liaising with clients and acting as a trusted adviser across a range of business support activities. You will have excellent communication and team working skills, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Experience of cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage Cloud and Quickbooks would be advantageous.
