Role Overview
As a Breakfast Club Childcare Assistant you will actively and enthusiastically assist the Breakfast Club Manager in safe and organised running of the Breakfast Club at Alderwood School, Aldershot. You will help provide breakfast and deliver the scheduled programme of activities for children. You must ensure all activities meet KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards, providing a safe, secure and vibrant environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Breakfast Club Manager in safe and organised running of the Breakfast Club at Alderwood School.
* Help prepare, serve and tidy away children’s breakfasts.
* Be aware of and sensitive to children with additional needs (physical, behavioural, dietary).
* Understand relevant Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids internal policies, including safeguarding.
* Maintain clean and tidy activity areas at the end of each day.
Skills & Experience
* Passion/interest in working within childcare, early years or playwork setting.
* Inspiring, bringing fun and creativity to the team.
* Energetic and enthusiastic nature.
* Reliable, dependable and committed.
* Ability to relate to and engage children aged 4‑13 years.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Motivational skills to support others to deliver to high standard.
* Eligible for Enhanced DBS clearance.
* Openness to gaining qualifications, further growth and development.
* Full training and inductions will be provided.
Hours
Monday – Friday, 7:40 am – 9:00 am (term‑time only)
