We are a family-run powder coating business looking for a hardworking and reliable Workshop Hand to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the production process, preparing materials, and ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop. No prior experience in powder coating is necessary, but a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential. We are a fast paced working environment and require someone with a strong work ethic.

1 in 3 Saturdays (if required)
You must be flexible and able to work other shifts
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the preparation of metal parts for powder coating (e.g., sanding, masking, degreasing, and blasting).
* Hanging, racking, and positioning items for coating and curing.
* Loading and unloading items from ovens and coating booths.
* Cleaning and maintaining the workshop, including tools and equipment.
* Assisting powder coaters with spraying and ensuring even coverage.
* Checking off items against job sheets as they are prepared to ensure accuracy and traceability.
* Packing, wrapping, and preparing finished products for dispatch.
* Conducting quality checks to ensure coatings meet required standards.
* Handling and organizing stock, including powders and consumables.
* Operating basic machinery and tools safely.
* Adhering to health & safety regulations and wearing required PPE at all times.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a workshop or factory environment (preferred but not essential).
* Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Ability to work efficiently in a team and independently.
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Awareness of health and safety procedures in an industrial setting.
* A forklift licence and/or a valid driving licence are beneficial but not required.
