Art-K is a private art education service that teaches children who love art. We have developed a specialist art program to enhance art skills and create great artworks. As the largest children's art education service in England, we teach over 7,000 children weekly across the country.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to assist art-K’s Creative Director with various functions, including project creation, administration, diary management, planning training, and organizing ad hoc events such as company outings. The successful candidate will support the effectiveness of the Creative Director in managing her office's processes and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
The role involves supporting the Creative Director with daily tasks and long-term planning, including but not limited to:
* Assist in creating artworks and prototypes as directed.
* Create prototype project examples.
* Collaborate on developing artwork for various projects.
* Research and support new art ideas and theories for manuals.
* Document projects as instructed.
* Support delivery of the art-K school program in local schools.
* Provide administrative support, including coordinating visits and meetings.
* Set up training facilities for staff or franchise visits.
* Prepare interview packs and support interview processes.
* Assist with visits, reporting, and mileage recording.
* Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Administrative Opportunities
* Maintain the company’s Google calendar.
* Write birthday, anniversary, and celebratory cards or organize presents.
* Organize social events and training facilities.
* Review and approve art material requests.
* Manage access to key software via company accounts.
* Support the Operations Lead with booking system listings.
* Assist the Creative Project Coordinator as needed.
* Perform additional administrative tasks, including data reporting and responses collection.
Qualifications
A degree (2:1 or higher) or relevant experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word.
* Excellent English writing skills for drafting content and email communication.
* Art knowledge and skills to create artworks as directed, following briefs closely.
* Confidence to inspire and motivate others as experience grows.
* Effective communication skills to balance company and individual needs.

Salary: £13.52/hour
Start date: September
Schedule: 16 hours/week, including a 30-minute paid break each day. Monday and Tuesday, 10 am - 6 pm.
Location: In-person at art-K’s Ashtead HQ on Fridays (minimum), with flexibility to work across other studios during the week.
