Job Title: Technical Support Engineer (Fire & Security)
Location: Craigavon
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Are you looking for a Technical Support Engineer role based in Craigavon? As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide first-line technical support to both engineers and end users across Fire, CCTV, Intruder, and Access Control systems. You will be working for a well-established organisation that delivers specialist support services across the Fire & Security sector.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to internal and external engineers and end users.
* Ensure accurate information is logged, scheduled, and communicated promptly.
* Prioritise workload to meet contractual deadlines.
* Handle inbound customer calls while maintaining high customer service standards.
* Attempt first-line fixes before escalating to the service team.
* Provide support to the Service Scheduling Team when required.
* Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by supervisors or the Head of Service.
Experience and Certifications required:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience across Intruder, CCTV, Access Control, and Fire systems.
* Strong customer-focused approach with excellent telephone manner.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
* General product knowledge of fire systems.
* Experience with Network/IP-based systems.
Desirable:
* Experience with UDL software across Galaxy, ATS, and Intruder alarm panels.
* Experience with Cash4Windows.
* Experience working on enterprise-wide networked CCTV systems (eg, Hikvision, Cathexis).
* Experience with remote programming of industry-standard enterprise-level Access Control systems.
