An established and forward-thinking independent preparatory school in Borehamwood is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team from September 2026.

About the Role
You will take responsibility for delivering a high-quality Early Years curriculum, creating a vibrant and engaging classroom where children feel supported, challenged and inspired.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering creative, play-based EYFS learning experiences
* Designing an engaging and well-structured learning environment, both indoors and outdoors
* Supporting children’s academic, social and emotional development
* Assessing progress and adapting provision to meet individual needs
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency across the Early Years setting
* Contributing to the wider life of the school, including events and enrichment activities
About You
The ideal candidate will be passionate about Early Years education and confident in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
You will:
* Hold QTS or EYTS with relevant EYFS experience
* Have a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
* Be creative, proactive and highly organised
* Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
* Be eager to contribute to a collaborative and supportive school culture
