A deep understanding and practical experience with:
3. Leading the development of complex mobile applications for both Android and iOS from conception to launch.
4. Advanced Architectural patterns (e.g. BLOC ) and the ability to evaluate and select appropriate architectures for new features.
5. Complex networking, caching strategy, communication, and performance optimisation.
6. Utilising the Bridge pattern to decouple application architecture.
7. Complex asynchronous execution and error handling.
8. Designing and implementing comprehensive Unit and UI automation test strategies.
Experience with:
9. Defining best practices for source control systems and code review processes.
10. Integrating, debugging, and optimising complex APIs and backend services.
11. Expertise in managing and evaluating third-party dependencies, considering long-term maintenance and security.
12. Deep familiarity with the App Store and Play Store publishing process, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Fastlane, Gitlab).
13. Working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced Agile environment, including leading sprint planning and technical estimations.
14. Significant experience leading a concept from its early stages of development through to successful market launch and post-launch optimisation.
15. Ideally experience with Dart/Flutter as the existing App has been built using those technologies.
In addition:
The ability to work autonomously to set and achieve technical goals, proactively reaching out to and influencing other areas of the business, both technical and nontechnical, to drive project success.
The ability to critically assess conceptual designs and experience flows, challenging assumptions and calling out areas which could be simplified/altered in a way to make their implementation more feasible, effective, and performant from a technical perspective.
The capability to partner with Product Management, taking ownership of breaking down high-level feature requirements into well-defined, manageable pieces of work that can be built and delivered in an agile fashion, ensuring technical debt is managed effectively.
Exceptional written & verbal communication skills, and experience working in customer-facing roles, including presenting technical roadmaps and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
