Test Team Lead
At Jet2.com and Jet2holidays we’re looking for a Test Team Lead to join our close-knit development community. This is a hybrid role, working one day every two weeks at our Holiday House in Leeds City Centre.
As an experienced Test Lead in our Application Development department, you’ll work across eCommerce, revenue generation, internal business and overseas operations platforms to deliver scalable, robust and high-performance solutions. You’ll work in an agile scrum environment solving technical challenges that shape our platforms and applications, ensuring we stay ahead of the market.

How You'll Be Doing
Test Planning & Strategy
* Define and implement comprehensive test strategies and approaches.
* Oversee test analysis, design, and execution across projects.
* Ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
Quality Assurance
* Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
* Drive defect management and root cause analysis.
* Track and report on test metrics and quality indicators.
Stakeholder Management
* Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related communications.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality deliverables.
* Manage expectations and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Team Leadership & People Development
* Lead, coach, and mentor a team of testers (manual and automation).
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
* Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Test Lead or similar role.
* Strong understanding of test analysis, planning, and execution.
* Experience in defect management, root cause analysis, triage and reporting.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
* Hands‑on experience with BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) scripting and peer review of BDD scenarios.
* Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, including design of effective test cases and validation of API responses.
* Solid knowledge of relational databases and writing and optimizing SQL queries for testing and validation.
* Experience with a programming language—preferably C#—is desirable but not essential.
* Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium is a plus.
