Responsibilities
* Accountable to the Service Director for the strategic leadership & operational delivery of acute and community based women's services within the W&C Directorate, ensuring safe delivery of patient care and services in accordance with NHS Lothian agreed corporate objectives.
* Focus on delivery of scheduled and unscheduled care and work to established access and treatment time standards.
* Support the achievement of NHS Lothian targets and objectives by developing key relationships to enable collaborative working with internal and external partners, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care and timely discharge.
* Contribute to the Senior Management Team across W&C, providing leadership and visibility and supporting the planned and unplanned workflows associated with running both acute and community based services.
* Act as deputy for the Service Director in all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled care within women's services, leading discussions and decision making at director level.
Requirements
* Legal permission to work in the United Kingdom.
* Will be subject to a protected convictions check (PVG Scheme) if the post is assessed as a regulated role; may require a different level of criminal records check due to legislative changes effective 1 April 2025.
* Experience in leadership of acute and community based women’s services, or equivalent.
