Senior Health & Safety Manager
High-End Commercial Fit‑Out | London (Site‑Based)
Up to £80,000 + Travel Paid
We are working with a leading high-end commercial fit‑out contractor, renowned for delivering technically complex, design‑led projects across London’s most prestigious commercial spaces. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to join the team on a predominantly site‑based role across London.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Health and Safety, you will play a key role in ensuring robust health and safety standards are embedded across our projects from inception through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out regular site inspections and audits across multiple live commercial fit‑out projects
* Leading and managing accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Providing clear, practical health and safety guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and project managers
* Liaising closely with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders, representing the business in a professional and solutions‑focused manner
* Supporting project teams with method statements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
* Monitoring compliance with UK health and safety legislation, company procedures, and client requirements
* Contributing to continuous improvement of health and safety culture across the business
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and commercially aware health and safety professional with strong communication skills and proven site experience.
You will ideally have:
* Demonstrable experience in a site‑based Health & Safety role within construction or commercial fit‑out
* A strong background in site inspections and accident investigations
* Experience working on high‑end or fast‑track commercial projects
* The confidence to liaise effectively with clients, principal designers, subcontractors, and senior stakeholders
* Excellent organisational and reporting skills
* Relevant Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent)
* A pragmatic, hands‑on approach with the credibility to influence site teams
The Package
* Salary up to £80,000, dependent on experience
