Salary: £55,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a similar discipline Eligibility to meet UK security clearance requirements ISTQB certification is advantageous Strong communication skills combined with a solid technical foundation Around 5 years experience in both manual and automated testing, ideally within embedded, telecoms, or other complex systems Experience testing integrated software and hardware solutions Exposure to communication technologies such as LTE or TETRA would be beneficial Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Experience working within Agile delivery environments Awareness of protocol and RF testing, along with communication interfaces such as TCP/IP, UDP, Serial, or Bluetooth Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Jama) Practical experience with automation and testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Postman, or JMeter Understanding of API and backend testing approaches Responsibilities: Creating and running test suites across functional, regression, system, and performance areas to ensure products meet required standards Validating software and applications against defined requirements, identifying and documenting defects Analysing requirements provided by internal product teams and external stakeholders Supporting all stages of the testing lifecycle, including planning, execution, defect management, and reporting Maintaining clear and accurate documentation to track quality and test coverage Building and executing both manual and automated test cases across communication-based systems Working alongside software, hardware, and systems engineers to troubleshoot issues and support resolution Ensuring test environments, tools, and hardware setups are maintained and fit for purpose Contributing to design and requirement discussions, ensuring testability is considered early Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members Occasional travel may be required, with costs reimbursed Technologies: API Backend Bluetooth Cypress Embedded Hardware ISTQB Support JIRA JUnit JMeter LESS Postman Security Selenium TCP/IP More: We are a leading provider of mission-critical communications technology, delivering secure voice and data solutions to organizations operating in high-stakes environments across the globe.
