* Has completed a degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
* Has Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society
* Has experience in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role, preferably in forensic services
* Is passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team

Full Time Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 16.00, 37.5 Hours.

Job Description
We are currently looking to employ a full time Assistant Psychologist to join our Psychology Department at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage. The successful candidate will join a team of qualified, trainee, assistant and honorary psychologists and will work across Secure, PICU and Acute wards. The Assistant Psychologist will need to be able to work independently, safely, and ethically within the limits agreed with their supervisor. The post holder will be working closely with and will be supervised weekly by a qualified psychologist, who will also be the post holders line manager.
* Administering and reporting psychometric assessments/outcome measures
* Developing clinical and risk formulations, and safety plans
* Developing and implementing care plans for psychological interventions
* Planning, delivering and evaluating individual/group treatment programmes
* Supporting with the development of Positive Behaviour Support plans
* Administration, audit, research and service development
* Contributing to the training and support of staff

o A programme designed to run in parallel to individual and group supervision, provided at service level with a supervising Qualified Psychologist
