JOB PURPOSE _Carry out annual maintenance, modification and repairs on the Stoneblower Fleet_ _To maintain machines against the agreed maintenance plan_ _Support the Stoneblower Heavy Maintenance Manager and Depot Supervisor in achieving desired targets and KPI's_ _._ _To support and assist the maintenance team with the delivery of annual maintenance activities on the Stoneblower fleet._ KEY RESULT AREAS _Machine available for work / for optimum usage in a timely manner_ _Servicing completed within required timeframe_ _Performance of machine following annual maintenance_ _Condition of machine_ _Timely ordering of parts / equipment_ _To organise and follow 5S within designated areas of the depot_ _Complete administration tasks in a timely manner_ _Submission of completed maintenance documentation to a high standard in a timely manner_ _Supporting maintenance team in the upkeeping of quality of maintenance documentation_ Qualifications & Experience _Is likely to be time served apprenticeship in an engineering_ discipline, or Preferred recognised qualification as a mechanical / electrical / maintenance engineer _Experience within the Railway Industry_ Technical Skills _Knowledge & understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, electronic, fault finding & repair_ _IT literate including basic knowledge of Microsoft systems_ _Calibration & understanding of rail plant operating_ _Competent in current maintenance standards_ _Problem Solving and identifying solutions_ Behaviours _Able to develop working relationships internally and externally_ _Adheres to deadlines_ _Attention to detail_ _Teamwork_ _Time management_ RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES _Work closely with the other band 1 technicians in ensuring smooth delivery of annual maintenance activities_ _Report any defects found on machine & carry out repairs within required competency level for the role_ _Ensure planned maintenance duties are completed in line with company policies & procedures & work instructions_ _Ensure working environment is maintained as required by 5S_ _Inform supervisor of any shift critical or maintenance scheduling issues / problems in a timely manner, which are outside your remit of control_ _Operate and lead machine shunts for maintenance purposes, as required_ _Ensure regularly updated & compliant with company policies & procedures_ _Awareness of company communication via notice boards_ _Be responsible for the care of company assets_ _Committed to travel and lodge as required by the company._ _To undertake training as required_ _Ensure compliance with competence assessment systems_ _Comply with the Company Code of Conduct_ HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES _To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts and omissions at work_ _Comply with all Statutory and Company Policies, Procedures and Standards_ _Inform your line manager, supervisor or health and safety representative of any unsafe occurrences_ _Implement and comply with company standards and procedures relevant to the undertaking of Stoneblower Maintenance_ _Only undertake work for which you have been trained and (if required) certified competent_ _Work closely with the Depot Management Team to raise safety issues and support safety initiatives._ _To comply with Risk Assessments, method statements and safe systems of work._ _Maintain and utilise all PPE provided by the employer_ _Co-operate with your employer on health, safety and environment_ _Make safe any unsafe conditions where practical and challenge unsafe work practices_ _Comply with company standards and procedures relevant to the undertaking of Stoneblower Maintenance_ _Observe safety objectives issued_ _Report all, and assist with investigating relevant accidents, incidents, and near misses_ _Maintain and utilise all PPE provided by the employer_.
