Job Description:
Description: As a UX Designer, you'll be expected to bring creative range and a depth of thinking to this role. You'll be at the forefront of UX design solutions that employ and improve our principles, standards, and design patterns, centered around best practice, consistency, and re-use. You’ll consider the holistic customer experience and end-to-end journeys, ensuring clear journey maps are in place and maintained, as well as designing new features and continuously improving current journeys.
You will work collaboratively with a wider UX/Research team, the BAs, and developers, ensuring your designs flow technically and addressing any technical challenges, always protecting the customer journeys.
Please note we have permanent and fixed-term contract positions available.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of pension holders and administrators.
2. Analyze user feedback, usability testing results, and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement in the pension service platform.
3. Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
4. Ensure that designs adhere to GDS design principles, emphasizing simplicity, clarity, and accessibility.
5. Develop visually appealing and consistent user interfaces for digital pension platforms, considering branding guidelines and accessibility standards.
6. Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (such as WCAG) to accommodate users with diverse abilities and needs.
7. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders throughout the design process to align on project goals and priorities.
8. Iterate on design solutions based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and usability testing results.
9. Use an agile methodology to rapidly prototype, test, and refine design concepts, ensuring continuous improvement of the pension service platform.
Qualifications:
* Experience in designing digital journeys, including creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows, with an understanding of design standards, accessibility, and SEO.
* Knowledge of design tools such as Figma / Adobe Suite.
* Experience with the Azure platform.
* Understanding or experience with GDS (Government Design Systems).
* Experience working in an Agile UX environment.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate information to stakeholders.
* Experience in Financial Services and pensions is preferable.
