Minimum 1+ years visually impaired experience required.
In an engaging educational environment, professionals will provide specialized support to students in a K-12 setting, focused on the needs of those with visual impairments. This contract position is located in Brockton, MA, for the duration of the Extended School Year (ESY) program, running from July 7, 2025, to August 8, 2025.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
* Certification in Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
* Previous experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with visual impairments.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored educational support to students with visual impairments.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to create inclusive learning environments.
* Attend required professional development sessions and stay updated on best practices.
* Develop and maintain IEPs, ensuring alignment with students goals and progress.
* Engage in progress reporting as necessary, to track and communicate student outcomes.
