Occupational Therapist - Bon Accord Care - ABC12494 at Aberdeen City Council
Location: Various locations throughout Aberdeen
Duration: Permanent, Full Time or Part Time hours available
Job Purpose
To work as an Occupational Therapist within Aberdeen City, delivering occupational therapy services in accordance with current legislation and Bon Accord Care’s policies, procedures and standards/values. The post holder will be required to undertake a wide range of occupational therapy services and in the delivery of a responsive and person-led service including facilitating hospital discharges, working with people who have complex needs who may need rehabilitation, enablement including assessment for adaptations, specialist equipment and risk assessment/management to provide a high standard of person-centred care. To promote multi-disciplinary working with other disciplines aimed at supporting service users in a range of accommodation settings, including their own homes.
Requirements
* A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
* Registered with the HCPC
* PDA in supervision or willingness to work towards as role required
* PVG registration
* A full current UK driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes

* The ability to effectively use a range of IT packages including the use of Microsoft Office
* The ability to challenge and improve practice
* The ability to promote the safe moving and handling of both people and objects
