Resource Centre Manager
The Resource Centre Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Resource Centre, including merchandising and the sale of both pre‑loved items and new stock. Duties also include maintaining the building, supervising Retail Staff and Volunteers, and providing support to the Halton Play Charity Manager.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage Retail Assistants, Volunteers, and Driver within the Resource Centre, including task and target setting, monthly timesheets, daily supervision, discipline, appraisals, and training.
2. Oversee the daily maintenance of the Resource Centre building, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and legal requirements, while presenting a clean and well‑maintained environment for all users.
3. Manage cash operations within the shop, ensuring security, accurate recording of all sales, and completing end‑of‑day reconciliation.
4. Maintain stock control for shop and centre resources, including cleaning materials, and keep stockrooms safe and tidy.
5. Order new stock, receive orders, and restock shelves to maintain a safe shopping environment with attractive displays.
6. Source donated items and assist with their marketing and sale.
7. Utilise social media daily to promote the Resource Centre, its stock, and services.
8. Monitor hire equipment maintenance, promotion, bookings, and returns.
9. Update Website and Online Shop.
10. Act as a relief sales assistant to cover lunch breaks and staff absences.
11. Support the maintenance and responsibility of the Charity’s vehicle.
12. Be responsible for opening and closing the building, following Halton Play lone working procedures.
13. Be included on the alarm call‑out list to respond to alarm activations outside normal working hours.
14. Perform other duties that are commensurate with the salary.
15. Ensure operations always operate in line with legal requirements and the Health and Safety of yourself, staff, and building users.
