Overview
Major recruitment are working with a leading manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in production or manufacturing who is ready to take ownership of daily operations and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.
As a Production Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently – meeting targets, maintaining high quality standards, and supporting your team to perform at their best.

* Mon – Thurs = 7.30am – 4.30pm & Friday 7.30am – 1.00pm – 39.5 hours
* Additional A/L = 24 + banks
* Free parking
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring targets are achieved safely, on time, and to the correct quality.
* Supervise, support, and develop a team of production operatives and the factory supervisor.
* Apply lean manufacturing techniques and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimise downtime.
* Manage resources effectively, including materials, stock levels, tools, and equipment.
* Plan and organise production schedules, works orders, and daily requirements.
* Monitor and record production data to track performance against KPIs and targets.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations.
* Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., operations, H&S, purchasing) to maintain efficient workflow.
* Train, coach, and evaluate team members to improve productivity and performance.
* Support HR-related processes including inductions, training, performance reviews, and return-to-work interviews.
* Assist with reporting, production planning, and cost management (e.g., powder coating/painting costs).
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a production/manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
Organised, proactive, and able to problem-solve under pressure.
Good understanding of stock control, scheduling, and reporting.
Committed to health & safety, quality standards, and best practice.
