We are seeking compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Newport.
Due to the personal care needs of the service, we can only accept Female Support Workers
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking for flexible working arrangements while making a meaningful impact on people’s lives. The hours can vary including 12 hour shifts, evening shifts, waking nights and sleep in shifts which will include some weekends.
You will provide essential support to adults with a range of needs, including learning disabilities. You’ll be supporting individuals in supported living setting. You’ll be working closely with individuals to provide person-centred care, empowering them to build daily living skills, maintain routines, and take part in meaningful activities within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Attending appointments and social activities
5. Daily living tasks such as cooking, shopping, and cleaning
6. Managing their mental health and well-being
7. Developing confidence, independence, and life skills
8. Safeguard the health, wellbeing, and rights of the people we support.
9. Work flexibly across various services in Caerphilly and Newport, sometimes at short notice.
What We’re Looking For:
10. Experience supporting people with learning disabilities or mental health needs
11. Empathy, patience, and a commitment to person-centred care
12. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
13. A valid driving licence and access to a car
14. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins (where required).
