Job overview
The post holder will manage the CAMHS admin team (Medical Secretary and Receptionist/Admin Support Assistants across all localities). This will include responsibility for monitoring the staff budget, the day-to-day management, organisation, recruitment and motivation of the administration staff as well as ensuring systems and processes are in place to enable delivery of the CAMHS Service to meet set targets and objectives.
Main duties of the job
To provide professional administrative management to the CAMHS administrative support team including performance monitoring and absence management, using performance and other reports to support this to ensure targets are met.
To ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times to include full cover across reception areas. Co-ordinating annual leave/authorised absence and managing unauthorised absence.
To be responsible for recruitment, selection and management of all CAMHS admin
staff, maximising the efficiency of the team within budgetary constraints.
To organise across CAMHS service yearly calibration of clinical equipment.
To conduct staff appraisals (PADR) write personal development plans with staff members, identifying training and educational needs to ensure all administration staff have the appropriate skills to further develop our services.
To review and maintain smarter ways in team working, encourage excellent and effective working relationships with admin team/clinic staff and multi-agencies. To include liaison at all levels and promote excellent communication between staff members. To deal with complex issues relating to
staff performance, by use of a range of reporting tools and communication strategies.
