The Job

Over the past 18 months, we’ve been integrating user-centred design into the BigChange software development lifecycle, building our design system (Highway), and laying the foundations for a frontend transformation.
As we scale and modernise our platform across both web and mobile, we’re looking for a Product Designer to help us continue raising the bar.
This is a Hybrid-working role, where you would be expected to attend the Leeds office 3-4 times per month.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be someone who enjoys simplifying the complex, crafting thoughtful user experiences, and collaborating closely with engineers and product managers.
You’ll join a small, supportive team with big ambitions — helping shape the tools, processes and practices that support great design and developer experience.
What You’ll Bring
* Solid commercial experience as a Product Designer
* Comfortable designing for both Web and/or Mobile
* Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a focus on clarity and usability
* Able to run end-to-end design work — from framing problems to shipping designs
* Comfortable using AI tools creatively to speed up workflows, explore ideas, and improve output
* Experience using research and data to inform design decisions
* Expert knowledge of design and prototyping tools like Figma or Adobe XD (Figma preferred)
* Experience working with component libraries or design systems
* Strong collaboration skills — able to work closely with engineers, PMs and others
* A mindset that values iteration, feedback and continuous improvement
* Bonus: Experience in B2B or SaaS
* Bonus: Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
