About the Role
Forth Valley College's Apprenticeships, Skills & Commercial Department is seeking to appoint an Engineering Work Based Assessor.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven, relevant, and current industry experience in Instrument and Control/Electrical Engineering.
* Understanding of Vocational Qualifications and quality frameworks (support provided to enhance understanding).
* Experience in the oil and gas sector and engineering environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advice and support to candidates in collecting and presenting evidence that meets the criteria of their vocational qualification.
* Conduct fair, safe, and reliable assessments of candidates' skills and knowledge in the workplace.
Skills and Attributes
* Excellent communication and IT skills.
* Enthusiasm for professional discipline skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and encourage others.
Additional Requirements
* Recognised Assessor and/or Verifier qualification desirable or willingness to work towards these.
* Frequent and extensive travel; a valid driving license and access to a car are required.
