Overview

Are you an existing or aspiring English Lecturer looking for your next role? Are you seeking a part-time role where you can make an impact on learners’ lives? This could be the role for you.

JOB TITLE: LECTURER - ENGLISH (INCLUDING A LEVEL AND DEGREE)

LOCATION: KING'S LYNN

HOURS: 18.5 PER WEEK

SALARY: £15,265 - £19,250 PER ANNUM (£30,529 - £38,500 FTE)

Due to internal progression, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to join our Humanities team on a part-time basis, working 18.5 hours per week from January 2026.

You will teach a range of courses including A Level English language and literature and on some of our degree programmes. We are committed to expanding the learning opportunities for our learners and growing our provision to better meet the needs of our local communities.

This is a rare opportunity to join our highly skilled and supportive team.


Responsibilities

* Teach a range of courses including A Level English Language, English Literature and on some degree programmes.
* Contribute to the development of learning opportunities and the expansion of provision to meet community needs.
* Engage with a committed humanities team to deliver high-quality teaching and student support.


Qualifications and Experience

* Essential: a degree in a relevant subject area and a relevant master's degree.
* If you do not currently hold a teaching qualification, you must be willing and able to undertake one with our support.
* Salary point will reflect experience and teaching qualifications; appointments are not normally made at point 12 or above (£35,831 FTE) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.
