Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: The Gherkin, London
Salary: £55,000 + plus Shift Allowance
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Days only, 7:00am – 7:00pm)
Overview
We are currently recruiting for two Multi-Skilled Engineers (Electrical Bias) to join a high-performing team at The Gherkin, one of London’s most iconic commercial buildings.
This is a dynamic, high-profile site spanning 41 floors, offering a fast-paced and varied working environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys diversity in their day-to-day work and is looking to further develop their skills across a wide range of building services systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical and multi-skilled maintenance tasks across the site
* Respond to reactive maintenance issues in a timely and effective manner
* Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
* Work on a wide range of plant equipment including generators, chillers, cooling towers, and sprinkler systems
* Support site projects and continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer service
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards and site procedures
The Team
You will be part of a well-established and supportive on-site team consisting of:
* 4 Engineers
* Fabric Technician
* Water Technician
* Operations Manager
* Account Director
Qualifications & Experience
* 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* HVAP / LVAP status (current or lapsed considered)
* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* Proven experience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
