* Hourly Rate: £17.78 - £19.51
* Salary: £32,465.07 - £35,622.32 per annum
* Contract Duration: Permanent
* Hours: 21 hours per week
* Online interviews scheduled for Monday 8th December 2025. Candidates invited to interview will be required to deliver a 10‑minute presentation on the benefits and challenges of partnership working and ways the role can help address some of those challenges.
Role Purpose
You will support the development and delivery of the Scottish Government Equally Safe strategy and policy related to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls in Scottish Borders. You will work collaboratively with the Scottish Borders Violence Against Women & Girls Partnership members and the VAWG strategic lead.
An exciting opportunity in the Scottish Borders to support partner agencies in tackling gender‑based violence through strong project management, delivery of an effective Equally Safe Strategy, and linking Scottish Borders to national initiatives. The role is varied and offers opportunities for professional development in coordination, strategy development, consultation, performance management, workforce development, community engagement, governance, and awareness raising.
Essential Qualifications
Educated to degree or diploma level in a relevant discipline or evidence of experience or ability.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. If you have a disability that precludes you from holding a driving licence, Scottish Borders Council will consider reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Category B.
