About The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner in Occupational Therapy to join the integrated Occupational Therapy service. This is a crucial role in terms of the smooth day to day running of the OT Team and you will support the Occupational Therapists with their caseloads, working flexibly across all aspects of our service. You will work under the supervision of registered Occupational Therapists and use specialist assessment and rehabilitation skills with your own caseload of less complex clients, supporting them to maximise their independence at home. The role also encompasses the provision of equipment and recommendations regarding minor and major adaptations.
About You
You should be confident, have great communication skills and either have an HNC in Occupational Therapy Support or be willing to work towards an HNC in OT Support and have more than three years’ experience of working in an existing role within either Health or Social Care. It is essential that you have a full UK Driving Licence, have excellent organisational and IT skills and an ability to prioritise a varied workload.

* Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rated basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
