About the Role
We are now seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our UK team in Wokingham. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-impact projects in biometrics, identity, and secure solutions that directly support government and critical infrastructure.
You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and government clients to ensure that complex projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is hands-on, strategic, and requires someone who thrives on problem-solving in high-stakes environments.
What You’ll Do
* Gather, analyse, and document project requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
* Define and maintain project backlogs, including clear acceptance criteria and traceability
* Shape project strategy with detailed roadmaps, schedules, cost forecasts, and resource plans
* Drive delivery across scope, timeline, budget, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards
* Perform structured risk assessments and oversee mitigation plans
* Provide clear vision and direction to technical teams, senior management, and external partners
* Anticipate delivery challenges and propose optimisations to improve efficiency and outcomes
* Ensure transparent communication with accurate reporting to all levels of stakeholders
* Take accountability for project quality, budget, and on-time delivery
* Partner with business teams on proposals, client demos, and solution presentations
* Manage development efforts of up to 10,000 hours across one or several projects
About You
* Experienced Project Manager with proven success in Government, Security, Biometrics or related sectors
* Skilled at stakeholder management and comfortable working with government organisations where processes may be complex and lengthy
* Familiar with JIRA and structured project management tools
* Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK SC Clearance and NPPV3 Clearance is essential
* Your note: To gain clearance, candidates must have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years. Criminal convictions may affect eligibility
* Prince2 (desirable) or equivalent certification
