Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing tissue paper supplier with production sites across Europe and distribution to over 70 countries worldwide.
This Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for breakdown support, planned maintenance and continuous improvement activities within the facility's production operations.
Your Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:
* Attending breakdowns on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment within the paper industry
* Performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities
* Carrying out continuous improvement projects
* Identifying faults and performing Root Cause Analysis on equipment breakdowns
* Monitoring equipment performance following repairs
* Communicating issues or ongoing problems to senior management
* Maintaining accurate records of maintenance tasks and spare part usage using EAM Infor CMMS
* Participating in plant improvements and modifications
* Attending relevant training to support daily tasks
Requirements
* Completed Multi-Skilled Apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
* Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
* Strong logical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
* Proactive approach to safety
* Able to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy
* Working knowledge of PLC hardware, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Desirable:
* Experience within the tissue/paper industry
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance
* PLC or robot cell programming and/or fault-finding experience
Pay & Shifts
* £45,000 per year
* Monday to Friday
* Two-shift pattern:
o 06:00 - 14:00
o 14:00 - 22:00
