SEN Tutor – Casual/Part-time contract | Location: Middlesbrough | Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm | Hourly pay: 25 - 40 per hour
The Role
As a SEN Tutor, you'll deliver Maths, English, and intervention sessions at KS3 or foundation KS4 level. You will work face-to-face with learners in their homes or at neutral locations such as community libraries, or where needed, via Microsoft Teams, across the Middlesbrough area. You will tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs and support vulnerable students. You will collaborate with safeguarding advisors to ensure learners’ wellbeing and development are fully supported.
Responsibilities
* Deliver Maths, English, and intervention sessions at KS3 or foundation KS4 level.
* Work with learners in homes, neutral locations, or via Microsoft Teams in the Middlesbrough area.
* Tailor lessons to individual learning needs and support vulnerable students.
* Collaborate with safeguarding advisors to support learners’ wellbeing and development.
About You
* Holds QTS/QTLS (essential).
* Shows a compassionate, student-focused approach, particularly for learners with SEND or SEMH needs.
* Has tutoring or teaching experience with children requiring additional support.
* Holds a full UK driving licence.
