TheCompany currently have vacancies for Deckhandsin its ERRV/MRV fleet.
Immediate start date. Permanent contract. 4 weeks on/off rotationSuitable candidates require to have a minimum of 6 months relevant sea time and have worked as a Deckhand previously, preferably on an ERRV vessel.

Deckhand is responsible for the following:
The execution of duties as designated by watch keeping rota. Deckhand is responsible to the Watch Keeping Officer on Watch for any / all duties.
* Responsible to the Coxswain when engaged as a Rescue Craft crew member.
* Deckhands should be familiar with the use of Breathing Apparatus and possess basic Fire Fighting Skills.
* Forming part of both the vessel's on board Emergency Response team, and Rescue Craft's whereby applicable.
* Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance
* Actively promoting and progressing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
* Actively promoting inter-departmental communications.
Required certificates:
* STCW Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
* STCW Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
* STCW Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
* STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4)
* Seafarers medical.

* OPITO ITSO (or Medical Aid and Rescue Care)
* OPITO FRC Boatman
