Spares Warehouse Operative - Banbury - Full-Time
Are you a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with a background in warehousing, stores, or spares? We're recruiting for a Spares Warehouse Operative to join a busy and dynamic team in Banbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks.
What You'll Be Doing:
Rotating across goods-in, picking/despatch, and site request duties
Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods
Packing and preparing customer orders for shipment
Assembling system components and site equipment
Managing stock levels and performing rolling inventory checks
Creating commercial invoices for international shipments
Operating forklifts and assisting with deliveries and collections
Supporting with general repairs, PAT testing, and fabrication tasks
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate picking and packing of parts
Maintain clean, safe, and organised workspaces
Collaborate with technical and purchasing teams
Inspect returned tools and warranty items
Participate in stocktaking and out-of-hours call-out rota
What Our Client is Looking For:
Previous experience in a warehouse or spares environment
Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach)
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Basic IT literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel locally
Desirable Extras
NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing & Storage
First Aid or Health & Safety certification
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage)
Familiarity with lean principles or continuous improvement
Salary: £26,740 per annum
Call-Outs: One week per month, paid at £200 for being on call, plus an additional £50 if called out
Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
