About The Role
Our Guinness packaging facilities in Runcorn produces canned, bottled and kegged product for Ireland, UK and export markets. It is an 18 Acre site with 2 Bottling, 2 Canning lines and 1 Kegging production line. There are 100+ SKUs with 16 different Beer/Liquid types covering producing on average 24 million cases of product per annum servicing 51 markets.
Our team has an outstanding passion for what they do, and we are looking for a driven and diligent individual to bring their own unique contributions to the team.
As Production Operator within our packaging team in Runcorn, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that operations are carried out to the highest standard and in adherence to Diageo's health and safety, environmental and food safety standards,
Key Responsibilities
* Performing operational tasks, support continuous improvement, and apply autonomous maintenance and quality skills.
* Operating bottling line machinery following standard operating procedures.
* Reduce setup times and perform autonomous maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and resolving issues.
* Conducting effective shift handovers.

* Can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.
* Holds strong interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to communicate with all levels across the site.
* Has ambition and aim to support Team Leaders and possibly aspire to become a Team Leader of the future.
* Able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. With a strive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.

Shifts
This role involves working a 42-hour week on a continental day/night shift pattern, which includes two weekend shifts per month. You’ll be contracted to a suite of flexible shift patterns and your working hours will adjust according to the pattern you’re assigned.
Depending On Business Needs, You May Work Either
12-hour shifts on a 24/7 rotation, or
8-hour shifts on a 24/5 three-shift rotation.
