Hays Northern Ireland are delighted to be working with a global Facilities Management provider to source a Assets & AutoCAD Specialist for their Belfast team. This role will play an instrumental part in the delivery of projects and planned maintenance works for a small selection of this organisation's key clients.
Your new role
This is a permanent job based in Belfast working a hybrid office/home set up. You will be a core member of the Asset Management Team responsible for creating and implementing space, facility management/project requirements and solutions within client site locations and potential locations.The main activities for this role include:
1. Keep estate drawings accurate and up to date – creating, amending, and managing CAD plans in line with standards.
2. Maintain and upload drawings and asset data into the CAFM system, ensuring the asset register and space coding remain reliable.
3. Collect, verify, and manage asset data using Excel and site surveys, supporting Asset Managers with accurate records.
4. Work with colleagues across Asset Management, Projects, Maintenance, andmercial teams to provide CAD and data support.
5. Support reporting and client engagement by preparing visuals, presentations, and analysis.
6. Take part in regular site visits (driving required) to validate building layouts and asset information.
7. Contribute topliance, lifecycle planning, and wider estate transformation initiatives.
8. Share best practice and grow your skills through the Asset Managementmunity of practice.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
9. A recognised qualification in AutoCAD (ideally within a built environment subject).
10. Confidence working withplex, multi-layered CAD drawings.
11. Strong knowledge of CAD standards and quality assurance.
12. Proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to handle and analyse large datasets.
13. A sharp eye for detail and a quality-driven, methodical approach.
14. Good organisational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
15. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
16. Clearmunication skills to build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, consultants, and clients.
17. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly for site visits.
