We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our KierBAM Joint Venture team based in Plymouth - Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. The process can take up to 8 weeks. Eligibility: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the last five years.
KierBAM is a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and BAM Nuttall, currently delivering a redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We're seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our collaborative team. In this role you will implement quality assurance and quality control processes, working closely with project teams to ensure delivery meets the highest standards. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required, which can take up to eight weeks. Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past five years.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute inspection and testing procedures to maintain quality compliance.
* Conduct root cause analysis and support problem‑solving activities across the project.
* Monitor construction processes and review documentation to verify that materials and products meet specifications.
* Support audits, quality system implementations, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
* Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Professionally qualified and/or a graduate with quality‑related qualifications and industry experience (e.g., ISO standards).
* Experience in a similar role, preferably within the nuclear or defence sectors.
* Possession of a CSCS Green Labourer card and a strong understanding of quality principles, inspection methods, and testing.
* Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis, along with relevant standards such as ISO 9001.
* Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities, with basic statistical and data analysis skills.
